DIARY || MBFWA DAY ONE || OUTFIT + PICTURES

I am finally back home from a hectic week Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam. I visited like sixteen shows, came back late, got up early and was in a rush all day and night and I am so tired. But what an amazing week! First of all thanks to Fashion Week Nederland for being so kind and having such a well-organized event and second of all my apology for not posting this week, but from now you will have a lot to read! Read further to see my diary and outfit of day one.

Finally! The show I had been excited for for a long while was Iris van Herpen. I am a great fan of her work and I was so happy to get invited to the show. It was a dance performance with choreography by Naninne Linning with a lot of special effects. The pictures did not turn out well, but here are two were you can see the designs on.

Iris van Herpen uses the 3-D style technic and I think that is what makes her special. The show was also different from others, because first you had to walk through some dome. I thought cristals were lying on the ground, but suddenly a few dances stood up and started dancing around everyone who was attending the show. It was a great effect and I liked the idea. (You seen see this on the first picture). Then the show finally started! The dance performance was long, but the designs were great. They reminded me of insects. The dances told me a story of an angry man or wolf (?)

This was the outfit I was wearing. The clothes are my mom's. I first liked my outfit, but later I felt a little insecure about it because it is not really my style. I liked the skirt a lot, but the heels are not my thing. The outfit was just only for one show so it did not really matter.
