The best key to a succeful blog is socializing. Socializing would have meant something totally different ten years ago. We used to spread the word by just talking on occasions where we meet each other. Neighbour parties, birthdays, school meetings or sports clubs. Back in the day it was much harder to reach "your" kind of audience who shared the same passion and interests like you. But lucky us! Social media plays a big part in our generation. It helps you to reach different people with common interests all over the world. It can give you a better vieuw of the world and ofcourse, a very inspirational place. In this post, I am going to share a few tips and tricks on some social media channels on how to get more followers and traffic to your blog. Today it is about instagram.
#Instagram.
1.Instagram might be the best place for fashionbloggers to gather visitors from. You get in touch with other people very quickly by using hashtags. But make sure your hashtags are appropiate and suits your picture. For example a photo of your breakfast should not be tagged with #justinbieber #football #ootd. These might be attractive and popular tags, but will not be able to track the right people and they mightn't follow you since that wasn't what they were looking for.
2. People love checking there instagram whenever they can! Also, most people think it is cool to have more followers than people following so you should post frequently. At least once a week (though that is a very minimum) before they forget about you and unfollow you, Also make sure your pictures are clear, of high quality and maybe with a nice filter and lighting and some variation. Popular kind of pictures are selfies, outfit pictures, food pictures, party pics or with friends. (do not only post selfies!!11!! ;))
3.Try the discover page. A page where you can find recommanded accounts on and give them a follow. This might be very surprising and you will find fantastic accounts based on your interests.
4.Be active! Follow and interact with your followers or commenters. Like pictures of others and comment back. Be nice :)
5.Share your instagram pictures. And with share your instagram pictures I don't mean share them on your instagram, but share the link on other media like Facebook, your blog or twitter so they will track you to your instagram. This can be done by the sharing button underneath your photo when you are publishing it.
