I think we can all agree that Amsterdam is one of the prettiest cities in the world. Not only is Amsterdam very pretty by itself because of the amazing canals and the most adorable houses around the town, but also because of its wide overture of art and museums all over town. One of the biggest artists in the Netherlands is ofcourse Rembrandt. You might know him of the "Nachtwacht" and portraits. If you will ever visit, or even if you are from Holland this should definitely be on your bucket list. There is nothing better than being a tourist in your own country. :-)
Canal is a Dutch organisation who organizes boat cruises and tours through Amsterdam. They are a fantastic source for every tourist if you want to do something cultural or exciting in Amsterdam.
Two weeks ago, I did the Rembrandt cruise. This is a better variant of the 'ordinary' boat tours. You are on a luxe boat with adorable flowers and wooden tables. Instead of a guide, there is an actress playing Hendrikje. As you might know, she is the wife of Rembrandt. Hendrikje tells us everything about Amsterdam, her life and Rembrandt's life as she is trying to sell his paintings. The cruise was very informative, humouristic and enjoying. For history lovers this is very interesting and even I did not know half of the information that was told. While watching this 'show' you are also able to look outside the windows at the prettiest boats and flowers and old houses where Amsterdam is known for.
The cruise is in both Dutch and English. You can order your tickets online here: https://www.canal.nl/en/rembrandt-cruise with some more information about the cruise. It would be definitely worth it! :)
